Description

Banque Du Canada 1935 Two Dollar Bill

The woman pictured on the left hand side of each of these bank notes is Queen Mary. All of the text is written in French; so each note reads as La Banque Du Canada instead of The Bank of Canada. Each two dollar bank note from 1935 was printed by The British American Bank Note Co Ltd Ottawa. The back shows a vignette with the god Mercury standing in front of ships, trains, and planes.

There are no varieties for the Ottawa emission de 1935 $1 bill from La Banque Du Canada. Each note is signed by J.A.C. Osborne as the sous-gouverneur and by G.F. Towers as the gouverneur. Of course the red serial number and overall condition will differ from note to note.
