1933 MT HK(Hibler and Kappen)-820 Montana Dollar SC$1 MS64. Cert# 4254771-005. The so-called Montana dollar consists of one ounce of pure silver, issued in Helena under authority of the Montana Silver Association. The original purpose was a membership token for members who paid their one dollar dues. Obv: Mining Scene, Incused M in hillside, Silver the Key to Prosperity 1933, Rev: Modified Montana State Seal, Oro Y Plato (Gold and Silver), One Troy Ounce Silver. 2,225 medals were originally struck, according to Hibler and Kappen, however fewer than 100 specimens exist today. Very scarce in this Grade.
